The WellStar Paulding Hospital project included an eight-story, 295,700 sq. ft. hospital, a four-story, 82,220 sq. ft. medical office building (MOB), and a 120,000 sq. ft. precast parking deck. This is one of the first hospitals in the country that is conditioned solely on geothermal energy.
Designed with the guiding purpose of being the safest hospital in the world – safe to patients and families, team members, the community and the environment, construction focused on green technology and building practices. The new facility houses 40 emergency exam and pediatric emergency exam rooms, four surgical suites, decentralized nursing stations, private inpatient rooms, administrative offices and a café.
